Description
I have started to pull together a costume for a Wild Fae
themed event, So I decided I would go all out and try to make a
pair of Fairy shoes! I am very pleased with how they came out.
I decided I wanted the shoes to look like they were entirely made out of
natural things like leaves and flowers and moss. I used a pair of Canvas
Ballet Shoes as a base and added some wolly yarn, "real touch" fake leaves,
silk flowers and some butterflies.
I put on the shoes and then pinned the leaves over them with the shoes on.
Then I took them off and hand stitched them all on. Then I sewed down yarn along the
top and filled in some blank spots, I also put it all over the sole of the shoes too so
the underside would look mossy. Then just stitched down some decorations.
